Travis Brown
For more than a decade, Travis Brown, PT, has helped patients throughout the Grand Strand improve mobility and function through physical therapy. He has spent much of his career providing care in patients’ homes and assisted living communities across Horry County and parts of Georgetown County.
Working in the home has shaped Travis’s approach to physical therapy. He has evaluated and treated patients in their everyday environments, developed individualized plans of care, and worked with Physical Therapist Assistants to support patients throughout treatment. His experience also includes coordinating with physicians, Durable Medical Equipment providers, orthotists, and other healthcare professionals when patients need additional support.
Before focusing on home-based care, Travis worked in acute rehabilitation at Tidelands Hospital in Murrells Inlet. There, he provided physical therapy, supported patients with equipment and orthotic needs, participated in home evaluations and discharge planning, and gained additional experience in outpatient neurological rehabilitation.
His clinical training and experience include geriatric care, vestibular rehabilitation, orthopedic joint replacement recovery, early stroke rehabilitation, and the treatment and management of spine disorders. Travis has also helped provide physical therapy services in assisted living settings, adding to his experience caring for older adults in the communities where they live.
Travis earned his Master of Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University, graduating cum laude. He previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the same university, graduating magna cum laude.
Years of work in homes, rehabilitation settings, and assisted living communities have given Travis a practical understanding of how mobility affects everyday life. His background reflects a focus on helping patients receive thoughtful physical therapy while staying connected with the healthcare professionals and resources involved in their care.
