Patty Howenstine, MSN, FNP-BC

Patty Howenstine is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience across direct patient care and clinical research. She currently provides in-home advanced wound care services in the Charleston area.

Patty has served as a Sub-Investigator on more than 80 clinical trials, spanning therapeutic areas from dermatology and vaccines to rheumatology and psychiatry. She has also held leadership roles as Director of Clinical Research and Clinical Project Manager, where she oversaw trial operations, staff management, and quality assurance for multi-site studies. Her combined expertise in research and frontline care enables her to offer evidence-based, compassionate treatment with a focus on long-term outcomes.

Patty holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and is certified through the ANCC. Her approach is grounded in clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
