Dr. Jimmie Williamson

Chief Behavioral Health Officer

Dr. Jimmie Williamson serves as Chief Behavioral Health Officer at Your Health, bringing decades of leadership experience across healthcare, behavioral health, higher education, workforce development, and community service.

Throughout his career, Dr. Williamson has held executive leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. He previously served as President of the North Carolina Community College System and as President and Executive Director of the South Carolina Technical College System. Earlier in his career, he led two South Carolina technical colleges and held senior leadership roles within the healthcare industry, giving him a unique perspective on the connection between education, workforce development, healthcare, and the communities they serve.

Dr. Williamson’s commitment to behavioral health is supported by his education and professional training in social work. He earned a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina, in addition to bachelor's and master's degrees from Winthrop University.

In his role at Your Health, Dr. Williamson helps advance behavioral health services and strengthen the integration of mental health and whole-person care. His work is grounded in a commitment to improving access, building stronger systems of care, and ensuring patients and families receive compassionate support throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr. Williamson also remains actively involved in professional and community leadership and currently serves as First Vice President of the National Association of Social Workers South Carolina Chapter.
