Eric Orton
Helping patients improve how they move and function is at the center of Eric Orton’s work as a Physical Therapist. With experience in outpatient physical therapy, Eric evaluates each patient’s individual needs and develops a personalized plan of care to guide treatment from the first evaluation through discharge.
His approach begins with understanding where a patient is having difficulty and how those challenges affect everyday function. Treatment sessions are then tailored to the patient’s needs, with Eric providing hands-on guidance and adjusting the plan of care based on progress along the way.
Collaboration is also an important part of his clinical experience. Eric has worked closely with Physical Therapist Assistants and other healthcare professionals, including physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants, to discuss patient needs and care recommendations. His background also includes managing a full caseload as the sole Physical Therapist in a clinic and taking on leadership responsibilities with clinical and front office teams.
Eric earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Before completing his doctorate, he received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He also holds a Master Dry Needling Level 1 certification.
Through individualized treatment and ongoing communication, Eric helps patients better understand their plan of care and make meaningful progress toward their functional goals.
